Young Indians (YUVA), a dynamic initiative under the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering community development through a diverse range of projects. In partnership with the esteemed Sona School of Business & Management, YUVA has rolled out several impactful projects across various domains, including Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Sports, Learning, Health, Climate Action, Accessibility, and Road Safety. These projects aim to address key societal issues, empower individuals, and drive sustainable development.

Entrepreneurship
  • 1. Bharat Billion Impact Challenge: Encourages young entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions that can create a significant impact on India's socio-economic landscape. Participants are provided with a platform to showcase their ideas and gain mentorship and support.
  • 2. Awareness on Government Schemes: Sessions to educate aspiring entrepreneurs about various government schemes and subsidies available to support their business ventures, facilitating easier access to resources and funding.
  • 3. Pitch Competitions: Competitions that allow budding entrepreneurs to present their business ideas to a panel of experts, offering invaluable feedback and opportunities for investment.
  • 4. Industry Visits: Organizing visits to established local businesses and industries, providing practical insights and inspiration to young entrepreneurs, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
Innovation
  • 1. Hands-on Workshops: Practical workshops on Design Thinking and TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) equip participants with creative problem-solving skills and innovative methodologies.
  • 2. Innov Tours: Tours offering exposure to cutting-edge technology and innovative practices in various industries, encouraging participants to think outside the box.
  • 3. Incubation Centre Tie-ups: Partnerships with incubation centers provide startups with essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to accelerate their growth.
  • 4. IDS 4.0 (Imagine Do and Share): An initiative that fosters creativity and innovation through collaborative projects where participants imagine, develop, and share their ideas.
  • 5. i-Intern: A program that connects students with industry professionals, providing hands-on experience and insight into the latest trends and practices.
Sports
  • 1. Cricket Tournament: Organized to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and community engagement among youth.
  • 2. Inter-College Tournaments: Foster a spirit of competition and camaraderie among students from different colleges, encouraging sportsmanship and skill development.
Learning
  • 1. Yi Talks: Featuring prominent speakers and thought leaders who share their insights on various topics, inspiring and educating the audience.
  • 2. Skill Building Workshops: Workshops focused on enhancing essential skills such as leadership, communication, and technical expertise.
  • 3. Personality Development Programs: Tailored programs aimed at developing personal attributes and soft skills crucial for professional success.
Health
  • 1. Mental Health Awareness ("Break the Stigma"): Promoting awareness and reducing stigma through informative sessions addressing mental health issues.
  • 2. Health Ambassador for Teachers: Training teachers to become health ambassadors who can support and promote wellness within educational institutions.
  • 3. Drug, Tobacco, and Alcohol Abuse ("Say NO to Peer Pressure"): Campaigns and workshops designed to educate young people about the dangers of substance abuse and encourage healthy choices.
Climate Action
  • 1. Learning Sessions: Educational sessions on climate change and environmental sustainability to raise awareness and promote action.
  • 2. E-Waste Collection: Drives to responsibly dispose of electronic waste and promote recycling.

Accessibility
  • 1. Accessibility Audit: Assessments to ensure that public and private spaces are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
  • 2. Sign Language Videos: Creation of educational resources to promote the use of sign language and improve communication with the hearing impaired.
  • 3. Scribes for Visually Impaired: Providing assistance to visually impaired individuals during exams and other critical events.
  • 4. Specially Abled Job Fair: A job fair focused on creating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Road Safety
  • 1. Farishtey – Good Samaritan Law: Promoting awareness of the Good Samaritan Law, encouraging individuals to assist accident victims without fear of legal repercussions.
  • 2. EMRI-Accident Emergency Responders - Certified Program: Training programs to certify individuals as emergency responders, equipping them with the skills to handle accident-related emergencies effectively.

Through this collaborative effort, 1st-year MBA students will be actively involved under the guidance of their seniors from 2nd-year. This engagement includes tasks such as research, strategy formulation, and execution of project activities. By participating in these projects, the 1st-year MBA students will gain practical insights into community engagement, enhancing their learning experience across various sectors.
